Healthy Play | Mazola

Children love to play with food. This allows toy manufacturers to sell millions of food toys every year. Fast food chains have used these tactics to attract children whereas most of these toys replicate “junk food”, and many are used in pre-schools, teaching unhealthy eating habits from an early age.

Many parents have seen fast foods as a quick and easy solution without realizing the long-term implications on children’s health – that’s why Mazola believes this is very relevant do to the fact that there is a huge obesity problem in Puerto Rico, starting among young children.

Mazola Heart Healthy Corn Oil decided to change this by allowing pre-school all over Puerto Rico to exchange their “junk food” toys for “healthy food” toys for free, so that children can learn healthy habits in the most fun memorable way, through play.
